Areas allow us to organize our Hoshin. Probably the easiest way to create them is by naming each department in our company. But we can also create them following any other model. In this example we are using the Balanced Scorecard model which follows this structure:

• Team: We have the best people working happily in a motivated team.
• Processes: Because once we have the right team, it must follow good processes and work efficiently and flexibly.
• Value delivered: With the right people following the right processes they should be delivering value to our customers and users.
• Results: Our customers are more than satisfied and happy using our services and so finally, if we have done all this, this is where we see the results.
